Walk as the Elephant
This painting was not only so fun to do, but it was extra special because it represents someone very dear to my heart. As I've gotten to know her, I’ve watched her grow into such an incredibly strong and resilient human being. She not only busts her ass for her family and friends, but she does it with the warmest smile on her face and a laugh so contagious you can't help but fall victim to it. She never backs down from a challenge and dares anyone to get in her way. She has adopted the elephant as her guardian and I believe at one point in her existence, she roamed once as one of these magnificent creatures. I put my heart and soul into this painting because that's what she does with our friendship. She has always been there to pick me up at my lowest, and helps dust me off as she walks by my side, never ahead, never behind. We are always equals when we are together. I'm so grateful to have a friend like her. My life wouldn’t be the same without her in it.
