As humans, we tend to put our faith in people and things outside of ourselves, and we create an identity around these people or things. We look for answers, guidance, and support in places that seem to be right for us, and sometimes we are let down. When we put our faith so strongly into external sources, we risk becoming hurt when we witness the shadow within them. At times the shadow is more than we expected, and what we believed was bliss was blindness, and we are faced now with the mess we created when our back was turned the wrong way.
