I’m Not Feeding This System.
I’m sure many people reading this blog will know exactly what I’m talking about here, so I hope the wisdom I provide will relieve some stress and help guide you towards a path of peace. If anything I say does not resonate, don’t take it. Find what is your truth, and go with that.
My truth is, I have a strong view of the system we live in. As someone raised in rural North Carolina, with a whopping 400-person, very “country” population, I’ve seen poverty and experienced it myself. Having two disabled parents, one being a veteran, we didn’t have much income and relied on the system for our basic survival. Not everyone in town was poor; however, some people had huge homes, with acres of land, beautiful horses, and the icing on the cake - A strong family unit. I’ve spoken about my family experiences, so I won’t go there again.
I’m sharing all of this to show you that I know what it’s like coming out of what we now know as “The Matrix,” where basically we live blind in a world that’s being ripped to shreds by parasites (greedy bastards that only have interest in pissing contests). The lady in the red dress (representing wealth and sexuality, and most definitely carrying undertones of mind control) steals our attention, while men in black suits run the program. Growing up poor, we not only relied on these control systems for our money, food, and medical care, but we also trusted them. My dad served in war to “fight for our freedom.” He drank the KoolAid, and by the time he was out - His body knew it, but his mind fought it. It showed in his fits of rage whenever I questioned our military, or our Republican presidents. It showed every time I talked about equality and welcoming people of color into our lives. It showed every single time I talked about Korea.
It shows in every one of our faces as we witness what this narrative has done to us. It’s been a complete takeover. Not just for money, but for our minds, our relationships, and our ways of living. We’ve silently turned against each other for reasons that were never ours. We give people side glances when they look differently than we do, we judge politicians like we know them personally, giving them the right to have dominion over our country and planet when we have no clue who they are as people, we shame working mothers, we disparage men by forcing them into a hamster wheel that keeps them disconnected from their creative passions and deep emotional spaces, we stew in hate and separation. For what? To gain what?
Why are we like this, and where did this come from?
It came from centuries of indoctrination. Through religion and spirituality, healthcare and food, media and creative arts… It has been a slow and steady takeover… Until now. Now it is steadfast and moving faster than the speed of light. The speed of frequency.
When I talk about this with people, I’m met with the same thing a lot: “I just can’t think about it too much.” Okay. Fair enough. But what happens when we don’t think about it? What happens as we turn our attention towards celebrities, sports, weather, and the news? What happens when we distract ourselves constantly through social media and numb ourselves with medication or other addictive substances? What happens then?
We are more capable than we will ever know.
If we think about these things, we will not break. We will expand. And through this expansion, we will evolve.
But it will be hard. It will be really, really hard. I’ve been on this journey of holding a microscope and lighting little fires for a little while now, and I’ll tell you firsthand, it gets so hard before the breakthrough comes, and we cycle again and again, breakthrough after breakthrough. It never gets easier, but there is a state of flow available to us if we so choose to swim that current. This state of flow will require immense trust.
This is where people usually talk about God. I’m not going there. Instead, I’m going to turn the attention towards yourself. This process takes incredible strength, and trust in yourself. If you look back at everything you’ve done in your life, you’ll see that everything led you to the next stage of evolution. An opportunity of sorts. Even when you made stupid decisions that led you straight into a dumpster fire, they were always leading to the next path… “On,” as Gandalf calls it. These are all deaths and rebirths. We do not die only one time in our life. We die again and again, and live again and again. Just as Gandalf did, we will fight fire demons that lurk in the darkest pits of hell (within ourselves, as our external environment works as our landscape of healing), but we always come back stronger, wiser, and so much more powerful.
Not everyone moves as Gandalf, though. There are the orks that are bred for war that live amongst us every day. They, too, are under the control of a Lord of some sort. Never knowing true love, but only fighting. I call this Lord our system. Within each system is a smaller lord, but there is always the one ring to rule them all. There is a trickle-down effect.
Can you tell I was a Lord of the Rings buff? I’ll add that the author of The Lord of the Rings, J.R.R. Tolkien, wrote the series while enduring the pains of World War I. Every character in the book represented a reflection of his mind, during an experience that I have no doubt shook his life forever. There is DEEP symbology in many books, but The Lord of the Rings captured it impeccably.
These creative expressions that come from the depths of these writers, musicians, and artists’ psyches are undoubtedly coming from something bigger within themselves, and it’s something we all have. A “bigger” force that creates works of art through language, art, music, and so many more creative masterpieces that cannot be contained within the framework of a system that seeks to destroy. They make their way out, and they move people towards change. Because deep down in those depths, we know the truth. We cannot sustain nor survive in this illusory world of riches and gold we’ve made for ourselves. Our nervous systems are paying the price, and at some point, we are going to have to make a change.
So how do we make this change?
So what I'm doing is creating a community of people who know how to live without the system. The system has slowly been indoctrinating us over decades, for this very moment. To take complete power over people. The more we take up jobs, the more of our life (and our soul) we are giving away to them, and that's what they want. We will need an ENTIRE societal change to survive. When you run out of money, or run short on money, don’t falter to the default system of “work to survive.” Take a step back, focus on your life, and where/how you’re spending and earning your money.
Find people who grow food, build, sew, raise chickens, or have any trade skills. Build relationships with these people, and focus on what you have to offer them in exchange. We have to find ways to live without money. Money will go towards our homes, cars (unless or until they are paid off), major bills like electric and water, whatever you cannot trade.
It will also take us stopping the holiday bullshit and shopping sprees, which plenty of people are still doing, regardless if they have the money or not, because many people are filling a void. If you have any voids, fill them with things that feed you. Art, music, gardening, whatever brings you joy outside of the system. Stop feeding an "economy" that's depleting us, our wallets, and our planet's resources.
Take hold of your mind. Make your mental health your #1 priority because again, the system LOVES for us to be stressed out, separate from each other, and all up in our heads. Come into your body, and see what it's telling you. At the end of the day, our bodies are created alongside nature. We ARE nature. We are NOT machines.
Learn about energy. I know your mind is going to go straight to “that’s not real,” “that’s woo-woo",” whatever. Shut up, mind. That is the program speaking, and that particular program runs DEEEEEEEEEP within us through religion, politics, witch trials, KKK, it keeps going deeper. We have been intentionally disconnected from learning about energy in the US. If you go to the Eastern side of the world, it’s a different story. There are places in the US that know about energy and the importance of energetic hygiene, but for the most part, it’s still very hush-hush, or shunned in many places. Your body has energetic pathways that need balancing. Learn how to connect with and balance your energetic pathways.
Heal your shit. We all have shit, and no one that truly matters will judge you for sorting through your shit and the messiness that comes with it. Learn about emotional regulation and the nervous system. Our nervous systems, more than anything, are being directly attacked right now by invisible and visible forces. We rely on synthetic medication, food, clothing, and materials instead of harnessing the power of nature. Many people in the US have no clue about natural herbal remedies that are used regularly in other countries. We aren’t versed in relationship management, communication skills, or financial literacy. None of that is taught within our system.
Which leads me to the next step, a very hard one to take for parents. Get out of the educational system as much as you can. Homeschool isn’t the only option. If you can’t remove them from public school, make it a priority to teach them about the system, ways it’s not working for us, and encourage them to create new ones. They are our future, and our future relies on critical thinkers with emotional maturity and knowledge of the planet and the way life truly works.
Be creative!!!! We are ALL creative. Even if it’s just scribbling on paper or working on mechanics. Work in that creative space as much as you live in non-creative space. It’s all about balance. Having no time to be creative is how we become depressed and anxious. Having no time for everyday menial tasks is how we fall behind. I have a tendency to want to stay in the creative space, but that’s not good either. Life is about balance in everything we do, but being creative is literally healing for our brains and nervous systems.
Connect with the freakin Earth! Go outside. Smell the flowers. Hug the trees. Run around barefoot. Let yourself feel the warmth of the sun. There are ENDLESS studies on the benefits of just going outside, and we FEEL it when we’re out there. Learn how to grow food and cook it. This convenience of virtual fake reality, fake food, fake relationships, fake body, fake personalities, fake information, fake weather… When did we become so fake?? Be real. Nature and each other are the only things at this point that are truly real. Which leads me to my final point.
I could go on for a while on things we could do to change, but the most important and critical gateway to change is through gathering together. Not in hate, but in love. Welcome in new culture, new ideals and beliefs, and new ways of being. BE with your people. Ask for help when you need it, allow people to come to your aid. Humans live to serve, and we know instinctively that we need each other. Our survival depends on it.
It won’t happen overnight, but each step counts towards the bigger picture.
